Flash! Recently Discovered Fact That Everyone Knows Shocks Scientists!

According to a new study, about 25% of women are not actively trying to become pregnant or actively trying to avoid pregnancy, but rather are "ok either way".  Scientists and doctors describe this finding as "shocking" and "challenging", because they had assumed that women who are not actively seeking pregnancy were, therefore, avoiding it.

Because, I guess, scientists and doctors never find themselves in a group of women with babies on their knees, talking.  Otherwise they would have heard the phrase "if it happens, we're ok with it, but we're not really trying right now--not until Junior is weaned".

What's shocking about this study is actually the deep disconnect between the academic and the childrearing culture that it reveals.

This just brings back flashbacks for me of that study they did in the 90s that proved (*gasp!*) that boys and girls are actually different at birth.

Can you believe it!

Cheers,

Breanna
