While I disagree with Sharon Astyk on a whole host of things, the woman weilds a mean pantry and is literate, funny, and smart. Her article on "women's work" and the way societies devalue it makes sense, I think, whether you are a feminist or (in her words) a wackjob anti-feminist.
I particularly liked some of the comments-- like, "in a fast food society, cooking is a positive and radical act."
How do you suppose the grammas feel about being radical? ;)
